Asian Telematics Market Getting Bigger Than Western Counterpart

At least that’s what the latest C.J. Driscoll & Associates research report on the subject indicates. When it comes to GPS fleet tracking and Beidou (BDS) tracking devices currently in service in China, The number is over 5 million units.

Government vehicles (due to government regulations), private business fleets, and even small mom and pop shops with as little as 2 or 3 vehicles are all integrated with telematics in China. Due to government regulations and a few other factors, by 2018, the number of units in service will grow to over 12 million.
