Step into a high-impact Medical Monitor role driving advanced clinical development programs in the oncology space. You will provide critical medical oversight for ongoing clinical trials, using your specialized expertise to evaluate safety data, guide protocol execution, and ensure overall study integrity.

This remote opportunity allows you to collaborate closely with cross-functional matrix teams, investigators, and global study sites. Operating from a dedicated virtual work environment, you will play a pivotal role in advancing potential life-saving therapies while maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and scientific rigor.

responsibilities:

  • Serve as an independent Medical Monitor managing the design, implementation, and overall integrity of clinical study protocols.
  • Review, interpret, and communicate accumulating safety and efficacy data, assessing and reporting serious adverse events (SAEs) per regulatory guidelines.
  • Partner with Clinical Operations to oversee study enrollment, operational timelines, and key project deliverables.
  • Provide project-related education, training, and medical guidance to investigators, study site personnel, and internal teams.
  • Ensure strict adherence to Good Clinical Practice (GCP), pharmacovigilance standards, corporate SOPs, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Proactively identify clinical risks, evaluate protocol-related questions, and escalate critical safety issues as needed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners in Regulatory Affairs, Safety, Quality Assurance, and Medical Affairs to align on trial goals.
qualifications:

Required Qualifications
  • Medical Doctor (M.D.), Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.), or non-U.S. equivalent degree.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of clinical experience in an academic, hospital, or industry setting.
  • Specialized expertise in Hematology with direct experience in Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) trials or clinical care.
  • Hands-on experience as an independent Medical Monitor evaluating safety data in clinical trials.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently review and interpret emerging safety and efficacy data.
  • Strong knowledge of clinical trial methodology, GCP, pharmacovigilance principles, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with proven ability to collaborate across global, cross-functional matrix teams.
Preferred Qualifications

  • U.S. residency training and subspecialty fellowship completion.
  • Prior clinical trial experience specifically within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
  • Medical monitoring experience with immunotherapies and Antibody-Drug Conjugates (ADCs).
  • Experience collaborating with global trial sites across multiple time zones.
